Andrea Calilhanna

Andrea commenced private music teaching and piano accompaniment in 1984 and classroom music teaching in 1991. Her teaching subjects include Piano, Saxophone, Keyboard, Theory, Musicianship, Music Craft, HSC, Composition.

Since 1984 she has played piano accompaniments for examinations, concerts, eisteddfods, musical societies, schools and university auditions.

Andrea has performed in chamber music ensembles with many musicians including members of The Queensland Orchestra. She has industry experience playing jazz, theatre music and popular music.

She has conducted Catholic Church choirs in Sydney and Interstate.

Member of the following Professional Associations:

Piano Accompanists’ Guild of NSW; Council member of the Music Teachers’ Association (NSW) 2006 to present; Australian Society for Music Education (ASME); Collegiate of Specialist Music Educators (CSM); Music Council of Australia (MCA); Australian Music Centre (AMC).

* March, 2013 Awarded a Fellowship with the Collegiate of Specialist Music Educators

* July 2013 Adjudicator for the Castle Hill Festival of Performing Arts (Pianoforte)

Andrea teaches all ages and for examinations or leisure.
