David is a highly experienced and qualified piano teacher and pianist. David’s awards includes winning the Elisabeth Murdoch Prize in the Melbourne Recital Centre’s Great Romantics Competition and the Sydney Eisteddfod Allison/Henderson Piano Scholarship, as well as being a prize-winner in the ASEAN Chopin international competition (Malaysia) and the Magin International Piano Competition (France). David has performed in England, France, Malaysia, Indonesia and New Zealand (where he has also performed for New Zealand Radio FM), as well as throughout Australia. David has recorded and performed for ABC FM as well as various MBS networks throughout the country. David is also a highly sought-after and experienced concerto soloist. Recent engagements include concerti by Arensky, Bach, Chopin, Liszt, Mozart, Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky and the Australian composer John Carmichael with various orchestras.

David has a lot of teaching experience and has an extensive knowledge about the breadth of the piano literature. Included in lessons are theory and musicianship as well as numerous concerts made available to all students. David is very friendly and flexible and is able to tailor lessons to each student’s needs.
