Piano Lessons

As a previous student and now a teacher myself, I know how important monitoring and tailoring the student’s learning process to their musical development is. I want to allow children to approach piano in a fun-loving manner whilst allowing them to learn something new each time they come to a lesson. I aim not only to deliver excellent results, but I also want all students to feel a sense of self-satisfaction and enjoyment.

I fully cater for all different grades and intentions – from the robust seriousness of the exam-driven student to prepare for exams, competitions and scholarships, to the more relaxed student that plays leisurely in their spare time. In the past, I have helped students attain a music scholarship from Genazzano FCJ College, and complete AMEB exams in both the traditional piano and the Piano for Leisure syllabi.

In terms of my musical background – I have an Associate Diploma in Music qualification, was previously awarded a music scholarship, attained a service award in Music and Music Leadership, and was awarded the “Highest Score” as a soloist appearing in the House Chorals Competition in high school. I was also awarded many prizes at local piano eisteddfods, including the Manningham eisteddfod, Eisteddfod By the Bay and Ringwood Eisteddfod. I have been currently teaching since 2012, with students completing a range of levels for exams – from Grade 1 to Grade 8.
