About the teacher:

Illya Zozulya was born in Ukraine (former USSR). He has performed in Australia and internationally and won numerous scholarships and competitions. He was granted a distinguished talent permanent residency visa after completing his Bachelor in Piano Performance Degree with Victor Makarov. His distinguished talent visa was endorsed by some of the finest Australian musicians and a former Prime Minister.

Illya has been teaching piano for over 15 years at the Australian Institute of Music and in private studios around Sydney. He has taught students of all levels, from total beginners, grades 1 to 8 and all the way up to A-mus, L-mus, Bachelor and Master’s degree levels. In 2013 Illya has opened “European Piano Studio” in the Upper North Shore in Sydney.

Illya’s students were among the winners of some piano competitions around Sydney, have successfully received scholarships and prepared for high school certificate exams at private schools and were admitted to study at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music as well as regularly achieved and are achieving good results at the AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board, Grades 1-8, Certificate, A-mus, L-mus) piano examinations.
