Hello,

My name is Jackie Hu and I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Music at Melbourne University. I’m majoring in Flute but also teach Piano at a high level. I am currently at AMusA level for Piano and LMusA for Flute.

I’ve had 3 years of experience teaching students of all age.

I’m currently studying under the tutelage of Margaret Crawford (Flute) and Caroline Almonte (Piano).

My definition of a teacher is someone who inspires their pupil to love and appreciate music. I do this by catering to the diverse needs of each student. By understanding that each student has unique learning styles, I aim to incorporate a range of techniques into the music lesson so that the student can gain a thorough appreciation of the music they learn.

I have a love of children and also teaching in general. I want to help students gain musical abilities whilst at the same time, nurture their passion for music. It brings me great satisfaction to see my students achieve their goals. I know that music extends to every facet of my students’ lives which is why quality musical education is so important.
