My aim is to help anyone perform and create in a variety of styles. Exam preparation is offered for those who choose but the primary goal is to help establish skills that will allow music making for life in whatever capacity an individual chooses.
I attend seminars frequently, so I can update on trends, use new publications and keep the flow of ideas moving that will help people play!

Josie Thomas

I began teaching in Primary Schools as a classroom teacher. I completed my music degree some years later and moved into Secondary schools where I taught not only music but Social Studies, Health and English. I have established instrumental programs in several schools and organized many concerts in many different schools.
I have taught all levels from pre-school to Year 12 in one capacity or another.
I enjoy my piano teaching immensely as I watch students of all ages move into a new skill and perform their music more effectively! I encourage creativity, improvisation and student ideas constantly.
I consider it vital to stay in touch with new ideas and I attend professional development whenever possible, especially major conferences.
