My name is Leon Tan. I have been playing piano for 11 years and have recently graduated with a Bachelor in Fine Arts (Contemporary Music Performance) at the Victorian College of the Arts.

I enjoy teaching. Seeing students develop their skills whilst enjoying themselves is a great feeling. I want to inspire you or your child to enjoy playing piano.

I do teach the grades as well (AMEB, ANZCA) and have had the experience of putting students through exams.

Fun is key here, music should be fun for everyone, and piano is a great way for expression and enjoyment. :)

• Able to travel to your location (Moorabin, Highett & Bentleigh only at this stage)

• Educational lessons that are fun
• Music reading skills & theory
• ANZCA/AMEB Exams (optional)
• Improvisation (a skill which is applicable to day to day life.)
• Contemporary styles such as pop, rock, jazz, blues and soul

Whether you want to sit exams or play for fun, I will be able to cater to your musical needs. Being a current student myself still practicing and crafting my own art means there is more of an empathetic relationship between you/your child. Being understood is very important when undertaking music, and I will ensure that you/your child is taught to the maximum of your potential.
