Teacher of 15 years, I started learning piano at age 3 through Yamaha and continued to learn and play 8 instruments as young adult. The skills I learned for life, personal insight and development, confidence, and something to connect and share with others has made it a wonderful gift. As an adult I play for pleasure, relaxation and for my kids and family. I wish more people had the foundations taught to them like I had, so they can enjoy for life – reading music, creating and improvising. It is sad when I hear ‘I learned as a child but haven’t touched a piano since…’
