With over 15 years of experience as a performing pianist, I can offer personalized tuition to create the perfect lesson plan to suit your individual tastes, goals and abilities.

I have completed my Bachelor of Music Performance, specializing in improvisation at the Victorian College of the Arts and I perform regularly around Melbourne in a broad range of ensembles.

After assessing my students’ strengths, weaknesses and interests; I create a fun and challenging lesson plan that is individual to the student and ensures a rapid and well-rounded musical development.

I can teach from complete beginners to advanced students and am happy teaching any age.

I teach jazz improvisation, classical piano and also popular/contemporary piano. Whatever type of music interests you, I’m more than happy to help you explore it.

I teach all of my students the fundamentals of proper piano technique and ensure that any bad habits are gotten rid of as early as possible.

I also cover music theory, sight-reading, aural training, composition and a range of other skills essential to creating a well-rounded musician.

I’m happy to guide you through exams (I have completed my AMEB examinations), or just create our own lesson plan working on anything that interests you.

I encourage all of my students to listen to as much music as possible and help expose them to a wide range of music that they may not have heard before, my students always find this part of the lessons interesting and exciting.

Other services I offer include:
Teaching Improvisation, composition, theory, analysis and aural training to non-pianists.
Accompanying AMEB exams VCE exams and auditions.
Tutoring VCE music students.
Music history lessons.
Help preparing for tertiary level auditions.

I am extremely flexible with times and i’m always happy to travel to your home to do the lessons.
