21st century piano

The study of music in the 20th century included significant research into the psychological mechanisms by which music creates a response in a listener. Research has continued into the 21st century yielding further insights into these mechanisms. Much of this information has yet to find its way into teaching practice. However, the basic concepts involved can actually be described and demonstrated in a very short period of time. They apply to every genre and musical culture, and should benefit any player, regardless of existing skill level.
