Piano Lessons

Each child has different abilities, learning styles, and personal interests. Some children learn piano because it’s fun, and personally rewarding. Some want to take the extra steps towards success in music exams. Whatever the case, we make sure our one-to-one lessons are individually tailored to suit your child, and match your preferences. 
Your children might be returning to piano lessons after some time away, or perhaps they are starting from scratch. Whatever type of lesson you need, we work with students at their own pace, taking into account their level of ability and experience, and their musical goals.

Home activities are written in a notebook and after each lesson the activities are explained to the guardian in a simple way to understand. Parents don’t need to have a musical background to support their child’s musical journey.

Lessons are held onsite in Dandenong North.

Anita Shaylor - Mellanie Shaylor School of Music

Anita was born in Perth, Western Australia and grew up in a musical household.

Anita has been teaching for 9 years and her students describe her as friendly, imaginative, inspiring and fun.

At the age of four Anita began to learn the piano and really enjoyed her weekly lessons. As Anita’s musical skills developed she enjoyed learning the fundamentals of music theory, recorder, flute and guitar. Music lessons were Anita’s favorite activity and now she enjoys lessons from the teachers perspective and watching each student grow on their musical journey.
