My piano teaching method is excellent for learning strong piano skills, reading music, and encouraging creativity. This is a very child-friendly method which, through games, improvisation, good posture, singing and playing, develops childrens’ playing very quickly and enjoyably. I love to work with children, according to their strengths and special gifts. This is also an excellent for adults who wish to learn to read music and play the piano.

I am an experienced teacher of piano, violin and viola, and also of chamber music, which I coach at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. I also teach music theory. I have a Bachelor of Music from the ANU (formerly Canberra) School of Music. After this I studied violin performance in London, in the ‘Advance Solo Studies’ course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London with David Takeno for two years. I then lived in London for another eight years, leading orchestras and specializing in early music as well as playing all repertoire. I’ve been a member of the Australian Chamber Orchestra, performed at many Australian festivals, and have played internationally for many years including leading the ‘Gabrieli Consort’ for a number of Deutsche Grammophon Archiv CD recordings.
