Piano lessons

I provide fun and interactive piano lessons from young children to the elderly. My focus is on providing students with the tools they need to become great pianists and to enjoy the music they creatively interpret. I will work with students to achieve their goals no matter what the task at hand. I will guide them to pursue their ambitions however big or small they may be.

Ben Muddyman

I began piano lessons at the age of 7. Ever since I was little, deep down I knew I was different. I had a deep and meaningful connection with music that I wanted desperately to express. During high school, I began to take up the woodwind instruments, beginning with flute at the age of 14. Shortly after, I joined the local concert band known as the Mitchell shire Concert Band lead by Eric Andersen which I continue to support to this day. I later took up the clarinet and the saxophone during my final years of high school to further broaden my musical knowledge and versatility. Throughout my schooling, I completed my AMEB on piano and flute up to grade 6. In 2011, I won the school’s annual talent contest and was awarded the best pianist and best woodwind player for that year. I pursued my musical education at the University of Melbourne completing a Bachelor of Music in 2014 majoring in Piano performance Throughout my studies, I also was a member of the University’s Flute Ensemble for 3 years as first flute. During this time, I have taught and tutored woodwind students in my concert band, helping them so they too can pursue their musical ambitions. I have completed a Masters Degree in Music performance Teaching in mid 2016 and am now currently undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Education at LaTrobe University.
