Brendan Hui

I am a part-time teacher offering lessons for violin, viola and piano, and have been teaching since 2011. I am a passionate, friendly and patient teacher, specialising in teaching beginners and early level students.

I am currently a student at Monash University, studying Bachelor of Commerce/Laws. I completed AMEB exams for each of the instruments up to grade 8 standard. I also completed VCE Music Performance in 2012, and acted as leader of Viola section at Balwyn High School’s senior string orchestra and symphony orchestra from 2012-2013, as well as leader of Viola section of the intermediate string orchestra from 2010-2011. I have performed at many events both solo and in a group for the three instruments, and have won multiple awards.

Over the years, I have taught and brought up more than 10 students from scratch. No matter if you’re changing teachers, or just returning to the instrument after stopping for a while, I will be happy to accommodate your needs in the lesson.

I charge $20 for half hour and $35 for the hour. I can come to your house for $5 more if in the area (Lower Templestowe, etc), or $10 for a little further out (Eltham, etc).
