Currently I teach selected students from my home studio in Sherwood (Brisbane) on my Yamaha C2 grand piano. I have had over 12 years experience, teaching piano in Melbourne, London and Brisbane, and most recently at St Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace (2014-15).
Limited spaces are available upon successful audition with lessons invoiced by the school term.

Brieley Cutting

Brieley Cutting’s playing has been lauded for its “myriad of different colours” (The Scoop, New Zealand) and “technical expertise” (The Age, Melbourne). She was recently awarded a Churchill Fellowship which took her to London, the Netherlands and New York, and a Creative Sparks Grant from the Brisbane City Council to support her innovative concert series, DeClassified Music.
In recent years, Brieley has released four chamber music CDs in collaboration with Brisbane colleagues, the most recent on Melba Records receiving rave reviews from such sources as The Guardian and The Australian.
Brieley graduated at age 18 from the Queensland Conservatorium and completed postgraduate studies at the Australian National Academy of Music, Queensland Conservatorium and Royal College of Music in London. During her studies, Brieley won the keyboard section of the 2006 ABC Young Performers Awards, was twice a winner in the ANAM concerto competition and was awarded second place in the 2010 Kerikeri Piano Competition in New Zealand. Brieley was also awarded prestigious scholarships such as an Australian Music Foundation Award, a Tait Memorial Trust Scholarship, the David Paul Landa Scholarship and an Australian Postgraduate Award.
Brieley Cutting is currently a doctoral student at Griffith University, is pianist in Artico Ensemble and EnsembleDCM, is Artistic Director and Manager of DeClassified Music and accompanies at the University of Queensland.
