Piano Lessons

Piano lessons are available to students of all ages and abilities in all of our teaching locations.

Students may learn for leisure or exams, in a variety of styles ranging from jazz and blues through to classical repertoire and exam content.

All of our teachers are specialists in their field. One of our piano specialists is Azadeh Atri. Azadeh is currently undertaking her PhD in Music under the supervision of Emeritus Professor Larry Sitsky at the Australian National University.

She started studying piano at the age of 8 with Farman Behboud. After completing her degree in Economics, she followed her dream of becoming a musician and began her music degree at the Australian National University, where she took piano lessons from Arnan Wiesel.

Azadeh completed her Honours with Sitsky in 2009 and received First Class Honours for composing “20 Short Piano Pieces of Pedagogic Intent, Using Aspects of Traditional Persian Sources”. She was a finalist in the Farda Composition Competition in Tehran in 2012.

Canberra Music Tuition provides professional one-on-one music lessons for students of all ages in a wide variety of instruments. We have studios in Belconnen, Weston Creek and Jerrabomberra with access to over 70 teachers in total.

Open 11am-8pm Mon-Thur, 12pm-7pm Fri and 9am-3pm Sat.
