Piano Lessons

Course Details:
Students are tutored in private one-to-one lessons for the age of five right up through adult years and may choose to study music for enjoyment or for exam purposes. All lessons include basic music theory.
The core work covers the following:
TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT: To develop the student’s dexterity and technique.
SIGHT READING: To develop the fluency of the students.
THEORY: To develop the student’s knowledge of the fundamentals of music.
A.M.E.B. and other EXAM PREPARATIONS: These help identify the student’s progress and help develop musical skills and performance.

Fees and Duration of Lessons as from January 2017
30 minutes………………………………………………………....$ 32.00 per lesson
45 minutes……………………………………………..………..…$ 45.00 per lesson
60 minutes…………………………………………………………$ 60.00 per lesson

A.M.E.B. Examinations:
Student may be recommended to sit for the Australian Music Examination Board exams help several times a year for both pianoforte and theory. These are held at the A.M.E.B. studios on Auburn Road, Melbourne or in a local area near you. These exams are recommended for children or adults who may wish to be accredited for their musical achievement and have an enrolment fee.
The decision to enter students is at the recommendation of the teacher and then with consultation with the student and the parent.

The music curriculum is specifically designed in accordance with the Music Syllabuses of the Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB)

I am a fully qualified teacher with over 25 years experience. Students are tutored in private one-to-one lessons for the age of five right up through adult years and may choose to study music for enjoyment or for exam purposes. All lessons include basic music theory. I also offer the following:
Technical development, AMEB exam and Piano for Leisure preparation, Theory of Music and Musicianship.

My credentials include Diploma of Education (Teaching) with a major in Music and a Graduate Diploma of Music. I have also taught Music in primary schools as a Music Specialist. I have a current Working with Children’s Check and am a fully accredited member of the Victorian Music Teachers Association (VIT).
