Piano Lessons

Students at “Bach to Rock Music Studios” can be prepared for AMEB Piano or Piano for Leisure exams if desired, or they can choose to learn just for enjoyment. Syllabus and music selections will be determined by the student’s aspirations and skill level.
Theory can be taught incidentally during piano lessons; however a specific separate Theory of Music lesson may be arranged if the student is preparing for a Theory of Music AMEB examination, or if such a lesson is requested.
I believe in exercising patience and encouragement, and in giving positive feedback to students. Mature-age and school-aged students welcome.

*I have learned and played piano since a young age. *As a primary school teacher, I have assisted in preparing students for performances, and I have accompanied choirs and instrumental performances in school settings. *Currently a member of Musicians group at St James Catholic Church, Bargara * I believe music, and playing an instrument is to be enjoyed. (However, if a commitment is made to attempt examinations or similar goals, the student needs to be aware that persistent and regular practice is essential.)
I regret that at the present time (April 2015), I do not have any vacancies for lessons at my home studio.

Qualifications -

• Diploma in Teaching (Primary); AMEB Grade 8 Practical; currently upgrading Theory of Music qualifications and working towards Certificate of Performance.
