Piano/Keyboard Lessons

My main focus for each student is to promote enjoyment and enthusiasm by making the learning environment fun and interesting, whilst incorporating good technique. I like to align lessons to the individual’s choice of music genre as well as introduce other styles to awaken musical experiences.

I sometimes incorporate computer technology in the lesson with the use of music apps and YouTube and utilise this technology, where appropriate, with home practice.

I have a particular interest is working with teenagers and searching out songwriters/composers and music that is attractive to them, however I also enjoy working with all ages.

Clare Bennett

I have played piano since the age of 5 years, which started from a natural curiosity of the instrument and extended to formal lessons. My repertoire of music includes classical, jazz, blues, pop, rock. Nationally certified Teacher of Music and gained my A.Mus.A (Associate of Music, Australia) through the AMEB, a Certificate of Music Teaching through the University of Southern Queensland and Jazz Performance studies through the University of Tasmania. Performed with various bands and solo piano in restaurants and for weddings. Have been teaching for 20 years.
