I believe it is very important for a student to start their piano practice in the correct way for the development of their piano abilities, with technical work being a priority.

I am an accredited teacher by the AMEB ( Music Teachers Association ) and have taught in Brazil and Australia for 30 years. I believe it is very important for a student to start their piano practice in the correct way for the development of their abilities, with technical work being a priority. The most important phase of a student’s learning experience is the beginning, when the first impressions are printed in their brain. That’s why it is difficult to correct bad habits acquired at this first stage of their learning process. I teach students from 5 years old and the ones that have special talent and discipline with their practice are encouraged and prepared for Performing Arts, Competitions and AMEB exams.
