Dave Ryan

David Ryan is a multi-faceted musician & artist at heart. As an accomplished Audio Engineer studying at SAE, he embarked on education in New York attending lectures at Hunter College & Columbia University before finishing his Bachelor of Fine Arts at QUT.

As a multi-instrumentalist performer & composer, David created Dempefka which paints sonic landscapes utilising experimental image to sound synthesis. His many nation wide releases broadcast on 4ZZZ radio and widely recognised in the genre. As the saxophonist and member of post-rock band Secret Black established in 2010, Dave has successfully performed in venues Statewide.

Dave is in high demand as a saxophone, flute, piano and theory teacher because of his broad knowledge of style, technique and composition from Classical music through to experimental electronica. With over a decade of teaching experience from beginner to diploma level and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Dave is utterly delighted to share his knowledge and experience at Tempo Music Academy.
