Piano Lessons

Individual one-on-one lessons with an experienced piano teacher in my home-based, air-conditioned music studio. As a fully trained classroom music specialist, I use the same Kodaly terminology used in Queensland schools. Lessons consist of learning repertoire from many genres, aural training, sight reading and theory. I strongly believe that it is vital to give positive feedback and encouragement. Lessons are carefully graded to build from easier to more difficult work so that success is achievable. The learning experience should be challenging but also fun!

I’m a fully trained music teacher with 20 years’ experience in teaching music and piano to students of all ages (from 4 years to adults) and all ability levels (from children with special needs to gifted children and adults from beginners to those with previous experience). I hold current teacher registration and a government blue card for working with children.

I teach in my home-based, air-conditioned studio at Calamvale (which is centrally located to service students from Algester, Parkinson, Stretton, Runcorn Heights, Sunnybank Hills, Drewvale and Browns Plains).

Lessons consist of learning repertoire from many genres, aural training, sight reading and theory (activities and games). I believe it is important to give encouragement and positive feedback; to proceed at the student’s own pace so that success is achievable and to make the learning experience FUN!

Adults please note it is never too late to begin learning to play a musical instrument and that skill is someting that you can then enjoy for a lifetime!
