Piano and Theory lessons

I provide one-on-one piano lessons as follows: ** Preschool aged 5-6 using Music for Little Mozarts. ** School children aged 6 and up using Piano Adventures. ** Free iPad practise apps called Piano Maestro, DustButer2, and Simply Piano developed by JoyTunes; Piano Adventures Player developed by Faber and Faber. ** I prepare students for any type of exams, e.g. AMEB, in piano, Theory of Music, Music Craft or Musicianship, but this is entirely optional. You don’t have to do an exam to be a piano student. ** I have a large library of music, unlimited studio licence music and direct download music that you can borrow or purchase in order to find the music you want to play. ** If you mention that you found me via this Music Teacher’s Online site, I will give you a free introductory lesson (without obligation).

I am passionate about teaching piano. I teach on a Yamaha G2 Grand piano in a private studio in my home in Inverloch.
I have been teaching for a very long time and have developed a lot of patience and resources so that you get the most out of each lesson.
I teach to the individual and we learn technique, sight reading, theory and musicianship based on the pieces you choose to learn.
I am classically trained so I teach you the basics from this perspective but we use today’s popular tunes instead of yesterday’s traditional songs which are no longer widely known. I also use iPad and computer software to learn theory and to play with interesting accompaniments.
I love ensemble playing and many lessons include duet playing which helps with the development of rhythm. Did I mention that duets are also fun and usually end up in laughter?
