First of all enjoy yourself!

– Children and teenagers : 
ludic approach of the instrument, instrumental training technique according to the capacities. – Adults : Be gradually able to play (or re-play) the pieces you wish to. Learn how to simplifiy a piece keeping the essence of it.
 Develop you autonomy, make your technique progress. – Advanced pianists : 
 Being confortable with chord changes; Integrating a musical vocabulary for both left and right hand Being able to use one’s knwoledge to create personal and interesting improvisations, whatever your level is.

Main topics proposed : Voicings on major and minor II V I; rhythmic patterns; Chord substitutions; Mastery of the main chord progressions : blues, III VI II V, “rhythm changes”; Bebop patterns memorizing; Scales and modes mastery; Pentatonic scales and arpeggios; Organization of an improvisation; Chords in fourths.

Work is done starting from known examples from the Real Book, approaching the difficulties in a progressive way. A more systematic work (on the 12 tonalities) is proposed for advanced or professional pianists.

– For keyboard and synthetiser players : 
learn how to use the rythmic sequences, the various sounds, for a quick ownership of the instrument and an optimal mastery of its possibilities.

I am used to simultaneously teaching the musical theory and the piano technique. Every kind of music can be played, according to the student’s preferences : the hits of classical music, jazz, pop music, blues, rock…It’s up to you!

I am a French pianist and composer settled in Sydney to undertake a PhD in Composition/Ethnomusicology at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. I have been performing for over 20 years in France, Italy and French Polynesia, in various ensembles and as a soloist. I have been teaching piano and music for more than 15 years. As a composer and performer, I have released two CDs and published several pieces for piano
