Green Point Piano Studio offers private one-on-one piano lessons which take into account each students’ age, ability and time for practice. Wendy Love is a qualified and experienced piano teacher with lots of patience and a sense of humour.

All students are encouraged to learn from a variety of music books so that practice time does not mean playing the same piece over and over – this includes students who are preparing for examinations!

At Green Point Piano Studio students are taught not only to read music but to be musical. Right from the beginning students are taught to be independent players by learning for themselves how to play their pieces. Note reading, rhythm, technique, theory, aural training, sight reading, improvisation are all incorporated into lessons.

Private lesson fees also cover any additional group lessons students may be invited to. Group lessons cover such things as duet or ensemble playing, performance, exam preparation or just an overall sense of music enjoyment along with other students the same age.

The use of computer software for note reading and rhythm reinforcement, recordings to play along with and recording facilities for students to make their own CD each year are just some of the extra things that add up to motivational fun lessons at Green Point Piano Studio.

A separate waiting room for parents and visitors means students having their lesson can do so without any interruptions.

Every student is considered special at Green Point Piano Studio and each is treated with respect and with an understanding that they will all learn at their own pace and in their own way.

The Studio provides piano and musicianship lessons for young and old students alike.

Music is a great way to teach young people self confidence and a great way for adults to relax.

At Green Point Piano Studio students may learn for pleasure or examinations through the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB). Skills taught will include:

Note reading
Rhythm
Aural training
Improvisation
Sight Reading
Theory
Technique

and of course there are other skills such as time management, discipline and patience, a sense of accomplishment, improved self esteem and increased academic and physical skills.
