When teaching, I prefer a ‘note by note’ and ‘finger by finger’ approach which gives a student confidence, and gets them playing music quickly. Encouragement in weekly lessons is a big part of keeping a student motivated and on track to achieve goals and gain technique.

Jassen Rose, Androse Music

Jassen is a professional teacher and performer based in Randwick and Woollahra. In 2008 he performed for His Holiness Pope Benedict both as a musician and conductor. He has helped students in a range of performances from classical exams at the Conservatorium, to a student performing in Las Vegas the Musical at the State Theatre. He has beginning, intermediate, and advanced students in voice, piano, and organ, and conducts several choirs. He plays the organ regularly for weddings and has played the piano at the Intercontinental Hotel. He is a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music having studied organ, conducting, and vocal pedagogy (the art/science of singing teaching). Jassen is a patient, encouraging, and professional teacher. He is Director of Music at All Saints’ Church Woollahra, and The University of Notre Dame (Sydney Campus).
