Piano lessons
Julia provides piano lessons for beginners to intermediate students, of all ages, from her home studio in Newtown. Julia believes that learning the piano (one of the best and most comprehensive instruments to start on) should be fun, relaxed, and cover all the basics of musicianship and technique. She specializes in teaching piano to children (but also has adult students) – and delights in helping to grow a musician in a child, or in a beginner adult. With a background in directing choirs, accompanying singing students, and working with groups, Julia makes sure that rhythm, technique, music theory and musicality are woven into the learning process (in an age-appropriate way) so that beginners can progress to more advanced levels, and be building a firm foundation musically to support them as they develop. Julia’s qualifications as a pianist are with the A.M.E.B, and she regularly prepares students for exams and eisteddfods, as well as working with students who are just learning for fun and for love of music.
