Kristen is a highly-qualified piano teacher who holds a Masters of Music and Bachelor of Music (1st class honours) from the University of Melbourne. She is a passionate piano teacher with over 10 years teaching experience which includes tutoring privately, at private schools, in various music schools and at the University of Melbourne.

Kristen is able to teach students of all ages and levels and prepare students for music examinations (AMEB, VCE, music scholarships). She tailors her lessons to suit the needs of each student. Her teaching philosophy is to nurture and develop the musical potential in each individual by providing a fun and broad music education. For the highly motivated and gifted students, her personalised music program ensures that they are equipped with the right techniques and skills to reach their full potential. All students are encouraged to learn different music styles. Music appreciation is further fostered through the teaching of music theory, music history, aural and sight-reading skills in the lessons.

Kristen is a dedicated, encouraging and inspiring teacher. Many of her students have achieved excellent results in their examinations as a result of her effective teaching methods. She is a fully accredited member of the Victorian Music Teachers’ Association (VMTA) and holds a valid Working with Children Check.

Kristen has piano studios in Footscray and Point Cook.
