Hi there!

My name is Maddie and I am a qualified music teacher in the Pascoe Vale area. Here are a few quick points about me:

- Been training in piano for 14 years – Guitar for 10 years – Accomplished vocalist and performer – Hold a Bachelor of Music – Have 4 years teaching experience with beginner-advanced students – Adaptable teaching both young students and adults

Lessons take place at my house which is right next to Westbreen Primary School, across from Pascoe Vale Girls College, and within close proximity of Glenroy College, St Thomas More Primary School, St Francis de Sales Primary School, and Pascoe Vale North Primary School.

I will supply commencement materials in the first lesson but it is expected that any books/materials needed are purchased as soon as possible after the first lesson.

Lessons run for half an hour at $30 on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 3:15pm to 8:15pm. Please give me a call and we will try and sort the best availability for you!

Music is my passion and being able to give others the opportunity to develop a love for music is the dream.

Maddie McHugh

After starting piano lessons at age 6, Maddie has furthered her love of music by completing her grade 7 AMEB piano exam in 2013 and has undergone training in guitar with experienced ‘Wonderboy’ rocker Randal Tansell, in voice with accomplished jazz vocalist Sarah Collyer, has studied grade 5 AMEB theory and has recently completed a Bachelor of Music at the Queensland University of Technology. While performing guitar and vocals at multiple venues, she decided to follow in her beloved teachers footsteps and enhance other peoples lives though music, resulting in the establishment of her own music education service.

“Music is a form of communication that everyone can comprehend, no matter your taste, background or beliefs”. Maddie believes that everyone can be taught and as a result, exceed in their chosen field of instrumentation while experiencing a connection through the language of music. She constructs lesson plans that cover what the student desires to explore and achieve as a musician while relating their quickly developed talents to real life skills such as memory capacity, foreign languages and mathematics. Through creating safe and enthusiastic learning environments students are able to expand their abilities and express themselves freely through their art.

Lessons are $30 for a 30 minute lesson. Piano and singing lessons are also offered at $60 for an hour.
