Qualified, experienced teacher who can prepare your child to achieve the best results in piano exams, or simply to enjoy playing and develop both their creativity and their appreciation of music.

Adult students are also most welcome, at any age and level of experience. There’s an excellent new book which teaches note-reading in a way that makes it easy, with pieces and duets that are a pleasure to play. And if you’ve already studied piano earlier in life, it will come back to you faster than you would imagine!

I teach Piano at Shore School (S.C.E.G.S.) and from my home in Kirribilli, with a strong focus on good music-reading skills for quicker progress and hence more motivation and enjoyment.

I believe the student needs to love the pieces they’re playing, so I make it a priority to explore all the repertoire for them (whether it be classical pieces and/or film music, pop etc.) and help them choose pieces that they’ll enjoy.

Parental involvement is most welcome in children’s progress and you are invited to sit in on lessons at any time. For adult students flexible times are available to suit your lifestyle. Come for a free trial lesson and we can explore the possibilities!

I teach Piano at Shore School (S.C.E.G.S.) and from my home in Kirribilli, with a strong focus on good sight-reading skills to accelerate progress. There are some exciting methods and apps available now to make learning easier and more enjoyable.

If you are a singer or instrumentalist I can accompany and/or coach you for exams and auditions, help improve your sight-reading, and I also teach Musicianship and Theory.
