I am knowledgeable of different teaching styles and I am able to adapt these to the pupils’ needs.
I use a variety of resources and techniques gained over 10+ years experience in both my private and classroom teaching.

Preparation is the key for a good session. I plan each lesson in advance, as well as a long-term development plan, setting reachable objectives and making sure the pupil understands these before moving on to the next section in the lesson.

In each lesson I intend to cover all the different aspects of Music Theory, Musicianship Skills, Aural and Kinaesthetic Training, and I use a diversity of materials such as flashcards and percussion instruments. Most importantly I encourage the pupil to make music from the first lesson.

The time spent practising at home is 90% of the job, I make sure my pupils know how to face and solve musical difficulties at home that will arise as they improve.

I have always had a love for teaching. I discovered this when I returned after my auditions for the Colleges in the UK. I started teaching for some pocket money and discovered I had a gift to communicate and engage with students. I have undertaken many teaching courses and classes at the RNCM and I am a Certified Teacher, which was awarded by the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music)
