Piano Lessons
Learning to play an instrument is something that stays with you for life, whether it is a hobby or something you do for relaxation.
There are many ways to learn an instrument through books or by using the Internet. However, from these sources and without proper instruction, many bad habits can become ingrained and cause unwanted discomfort or worse still, permanent injury. Nothing quite beats having your own ‘one on one’ lesson with your music teacher who will solely be focusing on your playing, your technique and your development as a musician.
In our lessons students will learn to play their instrument in a comfortable and safe technical manner. They will use scales, short studies and songs to develop instrumental ability, always ensuring a grounded technique is a constant in their students playing.
For students who are considering completing tertiary courses or who would simply like to challenge themselves instrumentally, we offer preparation for the following exams or courses.
¨ Solo or group VCE Units 1, 2, 3 & 4
¨ AMEB Exams

Macedon Ranges Music (MRM) is based in Gisborne, Victoria only 53km from Melbourne CBD.
Macedon Ranges Music provides singing lessons, guitar lessons, piano lessons and theory lessons to students of any age and services all locations in the Macedon Shire and beyond.
All singing lessons, guitar lessons and piano lessons are private and individual that run for half an hour each week. MRM’s philosophy is to provide students with quality tuition as well as impart students with positive musical experiences. Not only do students enjoy learning the practical side of singing or playing an instrument, they also learn using a safe vocal and instrumental techniques. At MRM, music is a vital part of our lives and our passion is to share our knowledge and love for music with others.
Our school holds a strong belief that performance practise is an extremely important part of a students development as a musician and performer. At MRM there are several opportunities for students to share the pieces they have been working on in performance. To end each term, students are invited to participate in an afternoon recital for their family and friends. This is a small gathering to assist student development in confidence and presentation skills.
At the end of each year a concert is organized for students to showcase their best work and share what they have learned and developed with an audience. This is a more formal event where students will be involved in several performance pieces as a solo act, duo or group performance. Of course none of these events are compulsory, they are provided as learning experiences and a way of celebrating what students have achieved if they wish to take part.
Students are also encouraged to enter local competitions, auditions, musical productions and eisteddfods to gain experience in performing in front of an audience. It is also an opportunity to gain constructive feedback from other music professionals. All students will receive assistance in preparing for any events they take part in during their weekly lessons.
