Piano Lessons

I have taught piano to students from young children to adults in several working environments, including primary schools, high schools, music schools and private tuition. Lessons are fun and friendly, but with a focus on dedicated practice and making progress. I am familiar with the requirements of both AMEB and VCE, as well as aural and practical techniques for learning. I have a Bachelor of Music from Monash University (2008), and Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration, as well as a Working With Children card. I currently teach at the Music World school in Malvern, while continuing private tuition and engaging in composition work.

My particular strengths lie in helping students respond to music creatively, by using their knowledge of the instrument together with listening skills to construct solid performances, improvisations, and compositions.

I am familiar with the requirements of both AMEB and VCE, as well as aural and practical techniques for learning. I have a Bachelor of Music from Monash University (2008), specialising in jazz performance, and Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration, as well as a Working With Children card. I currently teach at the Music World school in Malvern, while continuing private tuition and engaging in composition work.
