Offbeats Music Cafe is a Music School in the Preston – Reservoir area on the 112 tram line at 515 Gilbert Road (corner of Jacka St).

We offer lessons in flute, clarinet, saxophone, recorder, violin, cello, double bass, electric bass, guitar, keyboard, piano, singing, songwriting, compositon and theory.

We run weekly ensemble sessions for kids, fortnightly for adults, and an introductory adult guitar group lesson.

Our teachers are qualified, hold VIT registration and/or a Working With Children Check , and teach individual and group lessons.

Janelle Phillips – Director of Offbeats Music Cafe

Janelle is a fully qualified, VIT Registered Flute Specialist with extensive experience teaching and performing throughout Australia and the United Kingdom. Students of all ages, from beginner to University level, are invited to make enquiries regarding individual or small group lessons. Lessons are also available for beginners in cello, violin, keyboard, recorder and clarinet.
