Piano Lessons
Piano Keys Tuition is a piano studio that prides itself on catering to the individual musical aspirations of each student. With teachers that specialise in a number of areas – adult beginners, classical, contemporary, improvisation, theory, playing for leisure, or exam pursuits – you know that you have teachers that are experienced, approachable, and make lessons fun and engaging.
Meet the teachers:
The Piano Keys Tuition teachers have an enthusiasm that is infectious and a teaching manner that is warm and friendly.
With over ten years of teaching experience, Leah Coutts’ passion for teaching is matched by her successful teaching styles and knowledge. She holds a Bachelor of Music Studies with First Class Honours with a focus on piano pedagogy – the art of teaching piano – and is currently completing her PhD in the same area, focusing on the adult student.
Nick is a composer/performer and Honorary Research Fellow at Queensland Conservatorium. Beginning piano at the age of 4, Nicholas started teaching and accompanying soon after he completed his piano grades during his middle teens. He is passionate about teaching people of all ages and believes that no one is ever too old, or unmusical to play the piano. Trained in the Suzuki method, he puts the students first and is quick to assess their musical needs.
Music and Teaching are a great love for Pilar. She is passionate about educating adults and young aspiring musicians as well as nurturing their love for music. Five years of teaching experience have taught Pilar that every student is different, therefore, an individual approach and method is the best way to guide her students to achieve their goals.
As a pianist, singer, composer, improviser, sound engineer and tutor, Julia has worked with some of the industry’s best, including the likes of Lachlan ‘Magoo’ Goold, Mike Howlett and Daniel Denholm. After nineteen years of piano, Julia has built on encounters such as these to develop a versatile, unique and, most importantly, fun teaching experience for her students.
