Beginners Piano Lessons

Rebekah has accompanied herself on piano for many years and has been teaching piano with ongoing students for 2 years with excellent results.
Lessons will include, music theory, chord structure and inversions, improvisation, songs and a bit of fun!
I teach in my recording studio in Marrickville which has an upright piano to work from.

Sydney musician, Bek Jensen, is a quiet storm that rages to a pop banshee. She’s a cheeky, soulful electro pop songstress who aims to make the heart sing.
If you like Gwen Stefanni , Goldfrapp and Janis Joplin you won’t be diasappointed when you hear this woman belt out her tunes.
Rebekah Grew up in a talented family with both of her parents working as professional musicians in Australia. Always surrounded by live music and wrapped in a blanket of classic soul, blues, jazz, country and gospel music, she fell in love with the stage and started performing at a young age.
Established as a backing vocalist, Bek has recorded and toured Nationally with some of Australia’s finest artists including Jimmy Barnes, Tina Harrod, Sleepy Jackson, Paul McDermott and has released numerous original recordings signed and unsigned under different guises. In 2007 Bek teamed up with producer/composer/guitarist Marty Hailey (Jimmy Little, David Campbell) and released an original album together titled COUNTING THE DAYS by THE FAVOURITES.
In 2009, Bek and her musical husband Michael Wheatley built their own professional recording studio, Nut n Butter Studio, Marrickville and started preparing for her first solo album. She began collaborating with friends as well as teaching and gigging all over the country to raise funds for the project and support her family. In 2010 Bek was offered a 4 ½ month singing contract in Japan and left her family to keep her dream alive reconnecting herself with her own unique sound.
Calling upon some of Australia’s finest musicians Tim Curnick, Banel Martinez, Calvin Welch, Hamish Stuart, Jon Zwartz, Alphamama, Ngaiire and Serg Coniglione Bek produced a sound that is raw, honest and heartfelt for her solo album “BEK KIMOCHI” released in 2012. Recorded and mixed by Michael at their studio.
In 2014, Bek delivered a fresh new sound with her EP – LUCKY
In collaboration with Producer/composer Tim Hall (The Whitlams, Chakra Diva,The Strange) and making it Pozible with Crowd Funding, Bek rocks our world with a blend of organic, electro soul. Bek and Tim have created the sweetest ride and dropped us off in crazy town wanting more with the first single SUGAR PIE.
Guaranteed to hit your sweet spot. With additional remixes added to the bag, there’s a flavour for everybody.
In 2015, Bek has been focussed on her teaching and performing in live venues all over Sydney as a solo artist, Duo and with her band. She has been taking her time writing her next record and at this stage has not put a time limit on it.
