Beginners are my specialty as I prefer to develop a good technique from Lesson 1. However, I welcome anyone with a desire to fulfil their own aspirations in music.

I am particularly interested in helping nurture confidence in young students and to discuss with them and their parents, the well-documented evidence showing that students who study music in their youth can improve to a marked degree in all aspects of their education and social life.
II am a member of M.T.A.Q. and this verifies my status as a professional teacher.
I have a range of testimonials (appropriately anonymous) available to prospective students or parents.

Most of my students do their exams through A.M.E.B. Queensland and while I encourage them to sit for graded exams, I certainly do not insist they follow this path.

I offer one complimentary lesson along with the first lesson so as to enable time to discuss a lesson plan with each student.
With a very young child the additional lesson would be given separately, ideally within the first week or two.
