Selena Cheyne

Selena is an experienced piano tutor and a registered music music therapist. After graduating from Queensland University of Technology with a BA in drama and music in 1999, she began to spread her passion for the benefits of the arts far and wide. Whilst working as a Gymboree Play and Music Leader and programme developer for 2 years in Brisbane, Selena began tutoring extensively throughout Queensland primary schools in piano and drama.
She furthered her training with courses at NIDA, the Actors Centre (Sydney and London) and HB Studios in New York and recently completed her Masters in Music Therapy at UTS. Additionally, her involvement in community youth theatre groups in Australia, Canada and the UK was constantly ongoing. In the UK, Selena was employed as a Manager and workshop leader for Perform Media London, a company dedicated to improving the confidence and social skills of 4-8 year olds using drama, dance and music. Back in Sydney, Selena has developed and delivered regular drama workshops for the Australian Theatre for Young People, Brent Street Studios and Kick Performance Group.
She also runs her own company which creates and facilitates drama/music workshops and birthday party entertainment for children.
