Beginner Piano Lessons

In this service, students will guided through the basics of piano technique, basic theory concepts such as rhythm, aural development and music listening. Later, sight-reading, simple harmony and simple repertoire are added. Lessons are kept fun and fast paced for younger learners, and are adapted to the student’s individual learning style.

Lessons can be provided at Shai’s Mt Lawley address, or Shai can come to you.

Shai Martin

Adelaide-born Shai Martin began studying classical piano from the age of seven and was a committed classical pianist all throughout his schooling years, being one of only two people to achieve a perfect score for Solo Performance in South Australia. Since leaving high school, Shai has been developing his interest in Jazz and Contemporary music, recently graduating from The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) with a bachelor of Jazz Performance.
Shai is a passionate teacher who can teach at all levels and ages. He is particularly passionate about teaching children beginner piano, with a strong focus on aural development and encouraging students to find what they love about music.
