I’ve been teaching piano since 2008. I have studied and specialise in Contemporary music which also involves teaching elements of blues, jazz and improvisation. I also teach the AMEB piano syllabus, but all with the primary goal of exploring the student’s musical side and creating a healthy relationship with music.

My teaching style is entirely based on the needs of the student. Some students engage very easily with reading music and ‘learning the dots’, others are excited to learn the latest song on the radio. I always work toward the student’s strengths to in order to build confidence, this can instill a motivation in the student to later tackle the more challenging aspects of music . I also try to inspire inquisitiveness as a holistic understanding of music is something that will be with you for the rest of your life.
