Piano Lessons

I am a classically trained pianist with a rounded knowledge of most other musical styles – and I encourage the same versatility in students.

I have a high focus on technique. I will choose a piece that is both musical and within the student’s interests, but always with something new and interesting to learn!

I take absolute beginners and teach through to high performance standard (usually A.mus.A standard). If you are interested in exams, I teach the AMEB syllabus.

Above all, I aim to inspire my students to let music be a medium in which to get creative, explore their own physical, mental and emotional selves and to instil the joy of music within them for life.

Have recently completed a Bachelor of Music Performance at Melbourne Conservatory of Music, Southbank. I completed my A.mus.A in piano in 2008, and achieved a score of 41 in the VCE subject of music performance. I have been teaching for 5 years and am always eager to meet new students and musicians!

I am currently completing a Masters of Music (Performance Teaching) at the University of Melbourne.

I offer the following services:

- Private piano tuition

- Private music theory tutoring (up to grade 5)

- VCE music tutoring

- Accompanist for solo instrumentalists/vocalists of all styles and purposes

- Accompanist for ballet exams

- Rehearsal pianist for musicals/auditions/concerts etc.
