easy piano for kids and adults!

Hi I’m Steph,
I offer adults and kids an easy and fun way to learn some of their favourite songs – within 2 lessons! It doesn’t always have to be about playing Mozart and reading two lines of music – we can learn right hand melody by ear/copying and by reading finger numbers – also these days there are fun apps to help you learn like this much faster than the traditional way. I then teach chords, which start with just one and finally three notes played together in the left hand. In a few lessons you’ll be able to play any pop chart – following the melody and chord symbols (many pop songs only have 3chords- and we can make them all in the same key so you don’t have to wait to master everything before you can play your favourite pieces!) I’ve taught many adults this way and they’re always relieved at how simple it is – and that you don’t have to feel guilty about not practising between lessons! You will still learn and enjoy playing a new piece or two during lessons. Feel free to contact me and have a chat!

Hi all! I’m Steph. I’m a working contemporary musician and Melbourne Conservatorium Master of Music Performance graduate. I just came back from touring overseas with the international production of Celtic IllusionI and loved it!!! I enjoy all styles of music, learning languages, travelling and learning about the world….I am passionate and keen to share the joy of music, along with my skills and knowledge with others. I have been fortunate to have studied with some of Australia’s and the UK’s best flutists and teachers and so can promise quality instruction.

I prefer to use my own materials/ideas for lessons. I am happy to discuss what the student wants and tailor the lessons to meet their needs.
All ages, all levels. Classical and pop. Individual lessons or group lessons available.
