1) Classical Piano – From beginner to intermediate levels (AMEB Grade 1- Grade 5) – Want to play classical gems such as Mozart and Chopin? Want to have a long-term relationship with the timeless pieces of the classical world? I can teach you all the techniques you need to know and prepare you with your repertoires for examination when required. As a classical pianist graduate, I know first hand the excitement of learning music and I’m more than happy to show you the beauty within and beyond the pages.
Recommended lesson time: 45mins ~ 60mins including music theory

2) Contemporary Piano/Keyboard – Like to accompany yourself on the piano while you sing? (Think Bruno Mars, Alicia Keys…) I can teach you step-by-step all the way from the very beginning: different chord structures, rhythmic patterns and techniques to help you achieve that. Next time you can be the star of the party!
Recommended lesson time: 45mins including music theory

3) Music Theory/Musicianship – From beginner to intermediate levels (AMEB Grade 1- Grade 4) – Music theory ALWAYS help you understand more of what you play.
Recommended lesson time: Standalone 30mins, 15 mins with piano/keyboard lessons

Hi, my name is Yo Zi, currently working as a singer-songwriter music teacher.

I believe music is a lifetime indulgent, and I am more than happy to offer my knowledge and share my passion for music with you.

Coming from a bilingual background, I can teach in two different languages to cater your need (Mandarin or English, whichever you prefer)

Usually lesson time ranges from 45mins to 60mins (including 15mins of music theory) depending on the level you’re at. Rates are $35 per 45mins or $40 per 60mins. If needs to travel more than 18km from where I live, I will have to charge extra $10 travel fee.

I am happy to take in students of all ages, I have a current Working With Children Check (WWC).
